K-9 Pool Party!

The Ruston Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the third annual K9 Pool Party on August 6 and 7. The fun takes place at the Municipal Pool on Georgia Street. That’s right, canines are welcome to come out and show off their best doggie paddling skills. Splashing is encouraged!
Dogs of various shapes, sizes, breeds, colors and personalities gather for a few hours of frolicking fun on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The dogs’ owners are allowed to join their furry friend in the pool.
All dogs must be current on their shots and aggressive dogs are not welcome.
The event is free to all dogs, but humans are ask to donate one bag or can of dog food, or a box of treats to be donated to the City’s animal shelter and local non-profit shelters.

Peach Festival Pet Show and Pet Portraits

Here in Ruston, LA it is once again time for our yearly Peach Festival!  June 24th visit our sidewalk sale where you will find a HUGE SELECTION of cute doggy clothing, quality dog harnesses, collars, treats, and more for $5 or less!  All sizes are available including large dog sizes.

We will also have adult purebred dogs for adoption on the 24th.  And…the pet show is downtown in Railroad Park at 6pm.  We will be offering professional PET PORTRAITS from 1pm-5pm for anyone who has their pet all dressed up for the show.. on just anyone who wants a portrait! visit www.emmylouphoto.com

Our sidewalk sale will be continued on the 25th, and we will be selling cold canned drinks with all proceeds donated to our local no kill animal rescue 4-PAWS.  Please stop by and see the puppies, buy a drink for 4PAWS, and rack up some new outfits for fido at super low prices!  Look forward to seeing you there!
